Kids of all ages will enjoy the displays and demonstrations by the Bagdad Volunteer Fire Department; including fire trucks and rescue equipment.
History buffs will also want to tour the Museum Bagdad Village Museum. Once a bustling lumber mill village, Bagdad was the center of the Southeastern lumber industry for more than 110 years before closing in 1939. At one time Bagdad was the biggest, most modern lumber exporter in the western world and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
Donated items for the white elephant sale (no clothing items) will be accepted until May 3rd and can be dropped off at 4605 Forsyth Street or by contacting BVPA President Michael Johnson at (850) 293-5349.
